Booking terms and conditions Dein Engel

1. Cancellation or non arrival

• Cancellations must be recieved in writing.
• Reservations cancelled within 4 weeks of arrival will be charged at 80 % if the booked room cannot be reoccupied during this period.
• Reservations cancelled within 48 hours of arrival, in case of no show or eary departure, we reserve the right to charge 100%.
• We recommend taking out cancellation insurance. We would be happy to send you a form for travel cancellation insurance. Alternatively, you can also book this online: www.reiseversicherung.de

Special regulation 2021/2022

If you are unable to take up your reservation due to further or ongoing restrictions and limitations directly related to the corona pandemic (applies to illness or quarantine as a contact person, etc.)
the following regulations apply:

A booked trip can be rebooked up to 10 days before the planned arrival date by specifying the new travel period.

• If an official closure (last from November 2nd, 2020 up to and including May 20th, 2021 - with the exception of medically necessary and business stays)
  of the hotel is ordered or a travel warning is issued for the district of Oberallgäu or the market town of Oberstaufen, a booking can be canceled free of charge or will be canceled by Hotel Dein Engel.
  -In this case you will be notified by us!
  However, this only applies if the booked stay or parts of it fall within the period of closure. (Note exceptions, e.g. rebookings that have already been made, etc.)

• In all other cases (return from a risk area, place of residence in an area with an increased number of infections, entry from abroad (observe entry regulations), personal/other illnesses, etc.)
  there is no entitlement to free cancellation or reimbursement,
  the regular payment and cancellation conditions apply (see paragraph 1).

If the measures are lifted and unrestricted travel is possible again, the complete regular booking and cancellation conditions will apply again.

The above mentionned regulations are regularly adapted to the statutory provisions.

Please also note the currently valid arrival rules.

2. Prices and services

• The prices stated on our websites are final prices including statutory VAT plus all additional costs, unless otherwise stated. (Errors and mistakes excepted).
• All prices do not include the Oberstaufen resort tax of EUR 2.80 per person/night, which will be charged additionally. (further information at www.oberstaufen.de/urlaub/gastfreundschaft/kurbeitrag.html)
• For half-board meals not taken, we reimburse EUR 8.00 per person.
• When using a double room/suite as a single room, we charge a surcharge of EUR 30.00 to EUR 150.00 per night, depending on the category.
• For children from 0 - 2 years we charge € 5.00 per night for a cot. We charge per additional bed incl. breakfast from 7 nights per night: from 3 to 7 years EUR 30.00; from 8 to 15 years EUR 60.00.
• A Schroth pack will be charged at an additional € 23.00 and is not included in the room rate.
• There are sufficient parking spaces free of charge. We are happy to offer you a spot in our garage or carport at additional cost. During the months of Apr. - Nov. we charge EUR 12.00 per night in the garage, EUR 15.00 (December - March) or EUR 35.00 for electric cars; a carport space is available at EUR 7.00 per night.
• Dogs are only accepted by prior arrangement and in certain rooms. Access to our Schroth restaurant, the vitality garden with indoor pool, outdoor pool and sunbathing area is not permitted. We provide a dog basket and feeding bowl for your dog. Price per day and dog without food: EUR 22.00.

3. Payment

• The due date of the deposit and final payment depends on the agreement made between the guest and "Dein Engel". If no special agreement is made, the entire accommodation price, including charges for ancillary costs and additional services, must be paid at the end of the stay/on the day of departure.
• For stays longer than 1 week, Dein Engel" reserves the right to charge for past days of stay as well as for additional services (e.g. meals not included in the accommodation price, withdrawals from the minibar, etc.) after the end of the week.
• "Dein Engel" can request a down payment after the conclusion of the contract. Unless otherwise agreed, this amounts to 20% of the total price of the accommodation service and booked additional services.
• Payment can be made cash, by credit card  (VISA oder Master-/Eurocard) or EC card. Payments in foreign currencies, by crossed check or by bank transfer after the stay are not possible.

4. Arrival and departure

• Check-in should be between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
• For later check ins the following applies:
  • The guest must notify us by the agreed time of arrival at the latest if he/she arrives late or, in the case of stays of several days, only wants to move into the booked accommodation on the following day.
  • If a notification is not made in due time, "Dein Engel" is entitled to occupy the accommodation elsewhere. For the period of non-occupancy, the provisions in Section 1 apply.
• We ask that you depart no later than 10:30 a.m. on the day of departure.

5. Voucher

• The validity is listed on each voucher and can only be extended on request. 
  • Vouchers marked "ACH" or "BMW" are only valid for one year and cannot be extended.
• Sufficient free capacity and written confirmation/reservation by the hotel are required for redemption.
• A cash payment or reimbursement is not possible.
• Ordered and issued vouchers cannot be returned or canceled afterwards.

6. Miscellaneous

• Please understand that we cannot guarantee a reservation for a specific room number.
• In order to enable all guests to spend carefree days, all rooms and restaurants are non-smoking areas. We ask for your understanding.
